What is ‘Group Camp’?

Every other year, we arrange a weekend camp where all sections attend (Beavers, Cubs and Scouts).  Sadly, parents and siblings cannot attend but keep and eye out for next year’s family camp!

Cubs and Scouts attend from 7.30pm Friday night until 1pm Sunday afternoon and will be sleeping under canvass, and only using the building for meals and if the weather isn’t good.

The Beavers are only allowed to attend the camp for 24 hours.  The times will be confirmed in due course.

Where are you going?

We have secured accommodation at Tolmers Scout Activity Centre.

Tolmers is 35 miles away and will take about an hour to get to on the Friday night.

How much will it cost?

We anticipate to be able to keep the cost at £30 per person which includes the following:

  • Indoor accommodation for the Beavers
  • Camping fees for Cubs & Scouts
  • All activities for the 24 hours / weekend
  • All food and drink for the 24 hours / weekend

Directions.

From M25

If you are travelling via the M25, please take J25 and head north on the A10. At the first roundabout, take the first exit onto Lieutenant Ellis Way. Follow this road all the way down, going over one roundabout. At the second roundabout, take the first exit on the B156 towards Cuffley. After about a mile, take the first exit at the mini roundabout still on the B156. At the bottom of Cuffley Hill, go under the railway bridge and take the first road on the right, Tolmers Road. Travel about a mile down Tolmers Road and just before the end on the right is the entrance to the campsite.
